AMCL was founded in 1975 as a joint venture company of ACC ltd & Leonh
Herbert Machinen fabrik (Thyssen group company), Germany, with 74% stake of
ACC. In 1995 it became a wholly owned subsidiary of ACC. In 1989-90, it had
started manufacturing equipments for cement manufacturing too. A modern
state - of - the art manufacturing unit was set up at Butibori, Nagpur.
Nagpur is centrally located in India.
At the Nagpur, AMCL started manufacturing Vertical Roller Pre-Grinding Mill
(VRPM) with technology tie-up with Taiheiyo Engineering Corporation, Japan.
Other than VRPM they are also involved in manufacturing of Bulk transporters
through technology tie-up with M/s Shinmaywa Industries Limited, Japan and
Three Lobe rotary blowers through tie-up with M/s Unozawa Gumi iron Works
Ltd. Japan.
For Tyre manufacturing industry, company manufacturers Tyre curing presses,
Mixing mills, Tyre building machine, bladder curing press, hot feed
extruder, tube curing presses etc.
In March, 2008 ACC divested its full stake in AMCL to HNG (Hindustan
National Glass) group. Hindustan National Glass & Industries Limited is
promoted by the Somany family who have been in the glass manufacturing
industry for the last five decades.
